Montrealers took to the streets Saturday to stand in solidarity with high school students in France who protesters say are facing “detestable” conditions.
Since mid-September, high school students in France have taken to the streets calling for education reform, saying conditions in their schools deteriorated dramatically following the summer break. They say schools are under-resourced and they are experiencing a shortage of staff.
Not even one Quebec flag at this Montreal protest, let alone a Canadian one. None in the crowd and none flown on any of the buildings.
Anyone who says that the French riots are student driven is mad or deliberately lying. No mosques have been damaged by rioters in France – nor will they be.
This is how it started in Paris… Communists, Muslims, foreigners, ‘peacefully’ protesting.
