“Based on a true rumour,” claims the opening of the new Apple TV comedy, Brothers, about Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey – occasional co-stars and real-life best buds – discovering that they might be, well, brothers. This story has been doing the rounds since 2023, after McConaughey’s mother, Kay, told Harrelson that she had known Harrelson’s father years earlier.
