After World War II, many of Europe’s “elites,” notably in Germany and Austria, were in grave need of denazification. We have now arrived at a time when European leaders and “elites” are, once again, in desperate need of deradicalization — from being “pro-Hamas.”
Sometimes the sentiment is presented as “pro-Palestine,” but it really has nothing to do with Palestinians and everything to do with hating Jews. If these protestors were actually pro-Palestinian, they would be demanding freedom of speech, equal justice under the law, better educational opportunities and better governance, where Palestinian leaders were less corrupt and did not shoot at their own people to prevent them from taking aid, or plant weapons depots among them to increase their own citizens’ casualty rates.
