OTTAWA — Pierre Poilievre’s latest dispute with a prominent B.C. Tory is renewing scrutiny of the Conservative leader’s approach to managing his party, with some insiders questioning whether he is more focused on settling scores than striving to form government.
Poilievre became the focus of a public clash on Thursday with former B.C. Conservative leadership candidate Caroline Elliott, who narrowly lost a provincial contest this past spring to former federal Conservative MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
This rash of Poilievre must go hit pieces seems more a collaboration between Carney’s media and the Uniparty than a populist ground swell.
Poilievre isn’t perfect, but he does piss off the media and I think the message that Canada is nearing irreversible decline will work once that last elbow is a bloody stump.
