Room 2501 of the Internal Revenue Service’s imposing headquarters on Constitution Avenue is to become the nerve center of Donald Trump’s new effort to investigate liberal funding groups.

It is home base for the IRS criminal investigation unit, known as IRS-CI, and its members are not ordinary tax agents. They carry guns and their predecessors succeeded where all other law enforcement agents failed – by taking down notorious mobster Al Capone over his finances.

Now, President Trump wants to give IRS-CI a new mission – to investigate left-wing funding groups, including those linked to billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros, 95.

Soon after a Justice Department official instructed attorneys to probe George Soros’s philanthropic empire last month, Soros’s son Alex joked to a friend “that the Stalinists had a saying for this.”

“‘Give me the man, and I will give you the case against him,’” Alex Soros recounted to former Ithaca, N.Y., Mayor Svante Myrick.

Threats from the Trump administration are mounting toward the two Soroses and other Democratic megadonors, as the president has accused them of supporting violent protests and engaging in unlawful activity.

One of the ironies of the left is they boast about backing democracy and then support people who despise Western civilization in its entirety. Since 2016, George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF), now run with his son Alexander, has poured over $80 million into groups tied to terrorism or extremist violence.

A chilling new dossier that landed on Donald Trump’s desk this week claims to expose a hidden web of money connecting Antifa militants, homelessness nonprofits, and billionaire donors — and Trump allies are already calling it a ‘blueprint’ to dismantle the far-left network.

The report, Infiltrated: The Ideological Capture of Homelessness Advocacy, was produced by the Capital Research Center and handed to the White House on Wednesday by Jonathan Choe, a Seattle-based researcher who tracks progressive activists in the Pacific Northwest.

The bombshell 113-page document says America’s homeless services system has been ‘captured’ by what it calls radical nonprofits that funnel taxpayer and philanthropic money into political activism instead of helping people get off the streets.

An eco-extremist group funded by leftist billionaire George Soros is turning from its typical climate change obsessions to launch an all out war against President Donald Trump.

The youth-led Sunrise Movement, which was funded with $2 million between 2019 and 2023 alone by Soros, “expanding its mission to battle ‘authoritarianism’ as the Trump administration targets left-leaning organizations and puts one of the group’s major funders [Soros] in the crosshairs,”according to The Intercept October 2.

Progressive billionaire George Soros and his $32billion Open Society Foundations (OSF) are facing the most serious threat in their decades-long history. This comes as the Justice Department drew up plans last week to investigate the liberal funding giant for everything from arson to material support of terrorism.

Speaking exclusively with the Daily Mail, Ryan Mauro – an investigator with the conservative Capital Research Center (CRC) – said the evidence against Soros, 95, was already hiding in plain sight, and prosecutors now have the tools to uncover what he called a ‘smoking gun’ that has yet to be discovered.

‘[It] could be an undisclosed bank transaction. It could be a communication. It could be classified intelligence that just hasn’t been shared in the right way – but it’s already out there,’ he said.

A senior Justice Department official has instructed more than a half dozen U.S. attorney’s offices to draft plans to investigate a group funded by George Soros, the billionaire Democratic donor whom President Trump has demanded be thrown in jail.

The official’s directive, a copy of which was viewed by The New York Times, suggests department leaders are following orders from the president that specific people or groups be subject to criminal investigation — a major break from decades of past practice meant to insulate the Justice Department from political interference.
