Donald Trump has called for Volodymyr Zelensky to be ousted, saying Ukraine needs a new leader who can end the war with Russia.
Ukrainian strikes on Moscow’s oil refineries provoked a furious response from the US president, who had agreed a deal to buy diesel from Vladimir Putin a day earlier.
Responding to two drone attacks on Saturday, Mr Trump said: “[Zelensky] better damn well stop.
“I suggest they get a new leader who can make a deal.”
