Donald Trump has claimed he will be impeached if the Republicans lose the midterm elections in November.
The US president, campaigning in South Carolina, warned supporters that they would “lose everything” if Democrats took control of Congress for his final two years in office.
On Friday, Mr Trump described the potential outcome of the elections in unusually stark language as he faced the prospect of being unable to force through legislation or depend on a compliant Congress.
