OTTAWA — With the Trump Administration’s deadline to slap Canada with 50% tariffs looming a little over a week away, Prime Minister Mark Carney is spending the week in Italy on vacation.
In a note sent to the Parliamentary Press Gallery on Saturday, the PMO announced that Carney will be “on a reduced schedule in the week of Aug. 10, and that Carney will be in Italy “for personal commitments until Aug. 17.”
