The University of Cambridge has launched an investigation into Prof Jason Arday after The Telegraph revealed he falsely claimed to have published a book.
A Cambridge spokesman said the university “has begun an investigation following new information about Prof Arday’s academic qualifications and honorary appointments”.
Prof Arday, who is a professor of sociology of education, has also been the subject of plagiarism claims after The Telegraph reported that he had been accused of copying parts of his PhD thesis from another student.
