A 49-year-old B.C. woman who documented her experience with young-onset Alzheimer’s disease has died after she was approved for medical assistance in dying (MAID).
Rebecca Luna, a mother of two from Victoria, B.C., died at approximately 1:15 p.m. on July 25, according to a post on the TikTok account where she described the disease and what it was doing to her to more than 97,000 followers. She called herself a young-onset Alzheimer’s and MAID advocate.
