Mark Carney is a very smart guy, but not as smart as the oil company executives who have him hog-tied.
In a barrage of recent announcements, Prime Minister Carney has clearly been trying to convince Canadians that he’s carefully mapped out a plan to reshape Canada into an “energy superpower” — a term popularized by former prime minister Stephen Harper.
But Carney’s energy superpower ambitions have a twist, differentiating him from Harper who was, although not an actual climate change denier, at least a close facsimile.
