Around 5 a.m. on a Sunday morning in March, a gunman got out of a car on a quiet street near the waterfront in Oakville. Almost immediately, he opened fire.
An accomplice stood beside him, apparently filming the attack on a phone as the gunman shot at a stone house with a double-car garage, according to neighbours who later watched the incident unfold on their security footage.
Suddenly there was a flash from across the street. Someone was firing at the pair. They scattered.
