Justin Trudeau played some defence Saturday night after drawing criticism for attending the U.S. team’s World Cup match against Paraguay Friday with American pop star Katy Perry at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
“Sometimes supportive boyfriend duties call. But you know who I’m rooting for to take the Cup,” the former Canadian prime minister wrote in a post on social media, adding a Canadian flag emoji.
