A burst of gunfire near the Salsa on St. Clair street festival Saturday night killed two men, seriously wounded four others and sent thousands of festivalgoers fleeing in panic through the streets in Toronto’s west end.
Toronto police were called to reports of a shooting near St. Clair Avenue West and Arlington Avenue, just west of the festival grounds, shortly after 8:10 p.m. A total of six people were found with gunshot wounds, including two men who died — one at the scene, the other in hospital — according to Toronto police.
