Signs praising U.S. President Donald Trump appeared throughout Jerusalem this week, ahead of the U.S. formally moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The new embassy will open Monday, on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel.
There’s a simple way to end global oppression, racism and immediately create a world overflowing with “equality, dignity and human rights,” panelists agreed Saturday morning during a Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) Conference in Chicago.
Simply eliminate Zionism from the planet.

Former FIFA vice president Jack Warner, arrested in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday on bribery charges as part of a massive bust of top soccer officials, previously blamed “Zionism” for a bribery scandal which saw him forced from the world soccer body in 2011.
Warner surrendered to authorities late Wednesday in his native Trinidad and Tobago after his name appeared on a list of nine current or former FIFA officials and five business executives who “abused their positions of trust to acquire millions of dollars in bribes and kickbacks,” according to US Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
Warner resigned from FIFA in 2011 after the organization opened an ethics investigation into the vice president for receiving cash “gifts” from former Asian Football Confederation chief Mohammed Bin Hammam, ahead of the organization’s elections for president.
After FIFA handed Qatar’s Bin Hammam a lifetime ban from the soccer governing body for his role in the affair, Warner lashed out at the soccer body for what he said were various shortcomings, and vowed to bring down FIFA head Sepp Blatter.
“I will talk about the racism that is within FIFA. I will talk about the levels of religious discrimination which I sought to correct. I will talk about the Zionism, which probably is the most important reason why this acrid attack on Bin Hammam and me was mounted,” Warner wrote at the time in a 1,400 word letter to the Trinidad Guardian…

Haaretz reporter Ari Shavit paid a visit to two dozen U.S. college campuses and came back with a dire warning: the Jewish future is slipping through our fingers, he writes, referring to those who support Israel and Zionism.
What he found on his listening tour was a besieged Jewish community, squeezed between the extreme rhetoric of BDS on one side and their own concerns about Israel’s policy on the other.
We feel like we’ve been abandoned on the battlefield, many of them told me. The anti-Zionists, they said, are accusing us of collaborating with evil, but Zionism doesn’t understand us and doesn’t speak to us; instead, it’s busy building more and more and more settlements.
Zionism, Shavit writes, has failed to provide “a reliable, relevant and inspirational narrative” to counter the “near-overt anti-Semitism” of the BDS offensive. “And when they arrive on campus and are exposed to anti-Israel venom, the Jewish and pro-Israel identity of many of them collapses.”
In other words, it’s a battle for legitimacy. And Israel is losing…
I see it as partly demographics: almost all Muslims are virulently opposed to Israel and Jews in general. ‘Brown people’, even if they are not Muslims, are conditioned by the current campus atmosphere to see themselves as ‘victims.’
And more and more Muslims and ‘brown people’ are arriving daily. Jews make up a smaller and smaller fraction of the population.
Imagine for a moment that a university decides to offer a new course called “Perspectives on the American Civil Rights Movement.”
Imagine further that the professor slated to teach the course lacks any degree applicable to the subject, never visited any of the historical sites associated with the subject and never published anything noteworthy on the subject that would indicate a particular expertise.
Instead, the professor maintains a degree in biology and his writings on the course subject matter are limited to interactive “talkback” commentary and a few op-eds in fringe or obscure online blogs.
Imagine further that this professor is highly critical and even hateful of the civil rights movement and his opinions on the subject reflect a visceral animosity toward anything or anyone who attempted to advance the cause of civil rights in America.
Now substitute the word “Zionism” for “American Civil Rights Movement” and this ridiculous and unimaginable charade instantly turns into an ugly reality at the University of Missouri…

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — A Latin American Jewish group has called for the removal from office of a Venezuelan lawmaker who said during an interview that “Zionists” were the main financiers of Hitler.
Congressman Adel El Zabayar, a member of Venezuela’s National Assembly, told the Hezbollah-sponsored Al Manar TV headquartered in Lebanon that: “In order to understand what is happening today in the Middle East and what happened in the world in the First and Second World Wars we must examine the original Zionist conspiracy.
“If we look into who financed Hitler before World War II, we will see that the main financiers were the Zionists — the Bush family, in fact. The Bush family made its fortune as a result of what happened in World War II. The goal was to destroy Europe in order to impose the American economy and the dollar currency on it,” he said.
The Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, posted on its website www.memritv.org the November 14 interview, with a translation from the Arabic, during which El Zabayar also declared: “If you study the history of the killing of the Jews in Europe, you find that Hitler killed those Jews who belonged to progressive organizations.”
He also said: “You will not find in those lists representatives of global Zionism. In 1934 they even issued a coin representing the friendship between Zionism and German Nazism”…
‘Crazy’ is just too weak a word for a case like this.

A central theme of President Obama’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly yesterday is that Muslims have a special responsibility to fight radical Islam and redeem their religion from a scourge.
The message is fascinating because it mirrors the view that Jews have a special responsibility to redeem Judaism from militant Zionism…

Who the heck are these people anyway? They seem to have Jewish names: Philip Weiss and Adam Horowitz. How can they even begin to compare the Islamic State to Zionism or Israel?
They seem more like people from Loonwatch or something.
PS: I am not Jewish nor am I an evangelical Christian with a particular interest in the “end times.”
