‘We oppose biological essentialism’: Campus feminists embrace transgender ideology

Controversy has been brewing among feminist over the use and significance of the term “TERF.” The acronym stands for “Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist” and the term, as well as the ideology it represents, have become points of contention in the new age of “intersectional feminism.” Campus feminist groups reached out to by The College Fix, meanwhile, are largely lining up on one side of the issue.

The social justice left-wing ideology that is pushing to give hormones to children as young as 3 to change their gender is not willing to hear someone with an opinion that contradicts their own. Students at the University of Western Australia couldn’t even stand to hear American pediatrician Quentin Van Meter speak so they decided to bully him out of his speaking appearance.

CrossFit to allow transgender athletes to compete according to identity in 2019. Here’s what changed.

“This is the right thing to do. CrossFit believes in the potential, capacity, and dignity of every athlete. We are proud of our LGBT community, including our transgender athletes, and we want you here with us,” Glassman also said in a statement.

The policy change comes after transgender athlete Chloie Jonsson sued the company for $2.5 million in 2014 after the organization required he compete as a male when it was discovered he’s biologically male and had been living as a female.

Wisconsin ordered to pay for gender reassignment surgeries

Cody Flack, 30, and Sara Ann Makenzie, 41, filed a lawsuit in April, saying a state rule denying coverage for surgeries to treat gender dysphoria violates the Affordable Care Act and their right to equal protection, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. The state rule that excludes coverage for undefined “transsexual surgery” was adopted in 1996.

And according to a new paper, gender-neutral restrooms are the accommodation transgender and gender-nonconforming college students want most on their campuses.
