Ex-Obama Official Says No School For Kids Until Gun Laws Passed

Regardless of whether the latest mentally-ill loser named Dimitrios Pagourtzis violated every possible law when he carried out his massacre in Texas using a shotgun and revolver, it is imperative for the left to stay on offense, keep scaring parents while at the same time working to dumb-down America’s youth even more than if they were sitting in their woefully inadequate public schools receiving indoctrination from cultural Marxist teachers.

Why school shootings will be difficult to stop

From David French at National Review

Writing in 2015, Malcolm Gladwell wrote what I think is still the best explanation for modern American mass shootings, and it’s easily the least comforting. At the risk of oversimplifying a complex argument, essentially he argues that each mass shooting lowers the threshold for the next. He argues, we are in the midst of a slow-motion “riot” of mass shootings, with the Columbine shooting in many ways the key triggering event. Relying on the work of Stanford sociologist Mark Granovetter, Gladwell notes that it’s a mistake to look at each incident independently …

The “low threshold” shooters are motivated by “powerful grievances,” but as the riot spreads, the justifications are often manufactured, and the shooters more and more “normal.” More.

Reality check: But surely part of the problem is that the society they live in encourages grievance as an attitude to life…

Teen Accused In Texas High School Shootings Used Father’s Guns

Oh, dear:

The Texas student charged in the school shooting at Santa Fe High School described planning the attack in private journals, including a plan to kill himself, posted an image on Facebook of a “Born to Kill” shirt and used his father’s shotgun and pistol in the rampage that left 10 dead and 10 wounded, authorities said Friday.

A motive wasn’t immediately clear, but Gov. Greg Abbott said Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, wrote about planning the attack in journals on his computer and in his cellphone that police obtained. That was inconsistent with the portrait painted by his friends — a reserved young man, an athlete who had discussed wanting to own guns but who was said not to have given warning signs of impending violence.

“Not only did he want to commit the shooting but he wanted to commit suicide after the shooting,” Abbott said, adding that Pagourtzis told authorities he “didn’t have the courage” to take his own life.

President Donald Trump ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims and their families.

Pagourtzis was held without bond in the Galveston County jail on charges of capital murder, said the county sheriff, Henry Trochesset. Abbott said the two guns used in the attack were owned legally by the suspect’s father. It was not clear whether the father knew his son had taken them.

Explosives May Have Been Found At Texas High School

Just terrible:

Authorities say possible explosive devices have been found at and adjacent to the Texas high school where a shooting left as many as 10 people dead.

The Santa Fe Independent School District said in a statement Friday that authorities are in the process of rendering the devices safe.

There’s no indication how many devices have been found. Police asked the public to “remain vigilant” and to call 911 if they see any suspicious items in the area.

Anti-Gun Parkland Activist Finally Comes to His Senses After School’s Cover-Up on Shooter Comes Out

On Monday came the bombshell news that the Broward School District and Superintendent Robert Runcie had not told truth about the Parkland shooter being involved in the PROMISE program, a diversion program which allows students not to be arrested for things for which they might normally be arrested.

And people are up in arms over the deception and pointing at Runcie for lying.

Parkland students who begged for gov’t to take away their rights now experiencing buyer’s remorse

After the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida last month, a group of anti-gun high school children became the darlings of the anti-gun movement. They were given widespread coverage and platforms on all mainstream media networks to call for the disarming of Americans. They were sanctioned by the government to do so-and now they are getting what they asked for-less rights.
