Why the Heck is Trump Still Popular (Reason #987)?

Donald Trump

The short answer is: because he is probably not a complete and total fraud.

“Isn’t it obvious that Ted Cruz is in it for Ted Cruz? The man had a choice–he could fight the Senate’s push for “amnesty first” immigration legislation, which he had a very good chance of killing, or he could stage a showy fight against funding Obamacare that he’d certainly lose. The first course would annoy the business backers who fund Senate and presidential campaigns. The latter course would gin up and channel conservative anger, boosting Cruz’s profile in the caucuses and primaries, without doing anyone much damage at all (since it would fail). The choice seems to have been a no-brainer for the senator.

I originally thought Cruz opposed amnesty and took a dive on the issue, doing the minimum possible to maintain his credibility. I now don’t think his behavior was that bad. It was worse–his very opposition to amnesty was fake.”

UPDATE: Trump now leads Cruz by over 8 points in his OWN NATIVE STATE!

Ann Coulter Says: Trump’s Policy Paper on Immigration is the “Most Important Political Document Since The Magna Carta”

Here are some highlights from “the most important political document since the Magna Carta“.

1. A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.

2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced.

3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.

It does nothing but get better from there, but take a look for yourself.

Trump Takes on The ‘Temporary Foreign Worker’ (H-1B visa) Bastards

Donald Trump

And now all the right people hate him even more!

Zuckerberg is one of the leading tech executives who has called for a more open immigration policy. Specifically, he wants to make more H-1B visas available to tech employers so they can hire foreign skilled workers.

Trump said he wants to require employers to pay H-1B workers much more money, which he said would discourage companies from hiring them and boost job prospects for Americans. He also wants to have tech jobs offered to unemployed Americans before they can be filled by workers with H-1B visas.

“This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program. Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities,” Trump wrote in his immigration plan. Rubio is also seeking the Republican nomination for president.

Zuckerberg started a public interest group called to push for immigration and lobbying reform along with Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer. Neither Facebook (FB, Tech30) nor had an immediate comment on Trump’s criticism of Zuckerberg.

Trump says that there are plenty of graduates with degrees in science, technology, engineering and math, known as STEM, to fill tech jobs. That means that employers don’t need H-1B visas to fill jobs, and are using them instead to keep wages low.

Employers are supposed to pay a typical wage to anyone hired under a H-1B visa. But in reality, employees on these visas are typically paid 20 to 45% less than U.S. workers who they are often replacing, said Ron Hira, a Howard University public policy professor who has studied the visa’s pay scale.

The Census Bureau confirms that 74% of people who hold a STEM bachelor’s degree have a job outside of those fields.

Disney Blacklists Employees Who Were Dumped for Cheap Foreign Labor

For moonbatty Disney, it isn’t enough to lay off American workers in favor of cheaper foreigners imported by Democrats and RINOs. They have to take it the next step:

The American tech workers Disney laid off in January after forcing them to train their foreign replacements were put on a “black list” that disqualified them from hire by any contractor that works with Disney, emails obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation between one of the laid off workers and a recruiting firm show…

…Disney is aggressively gay-friendly and features blacks in a disproportionate number of advertisements, so the company won’t be having public relations problems as a result of this outrage.

Florida: Disney laid off some 250 employees, replacing them with cheap H-1B visa holders from India, telling employees to train their replacements

…[A]bout 250 Disney employees were told in late October that they would be laid off. Many of their jobs were transferred to immigrants on temporary visas for highly skilled technical workers, who were brought in by an outsourcing firm based in India. Over the next three months, some Disney employees were required to train their replacements to do the jobs they had lost.

“I just couldn’t believe they could fly people in to sit at our desks and take over our jobs exactly,” said one former worker, an American in his 40s who remains unemployed since his last day at Disney on Jan. 30. “It was so humiliating to train somebody else to take over your job. I still can’t grasp it.”

Disney executives said that the layoffs were part of a reorganization, and that the company opened more positions than it eliminated.

Silicon Valley to Americans: Drop Dead

Silicon Valley oligarchs come to the immigration debate with considerable advantages. Aside from the obvious giant bags of money, there’s the perception (often correct) that they’re wizards responsible for breathtaking innovation and economic growth.

So when they say they need ever-greater numbers of indentured code-jockeys from abroad because there aren’t not enough Americans available, they’re taken seriously (even though the real motivation is simply cheap labor).

This gullibility is all the more prevalent in Congress, many of whose members don’t even know how to turn their computers on (let alone send e-mail).

But the Silicon Valley oligarchs also have a disadvantage: the inability to hide their contempt for American workers.

Joe Green, for instance, at the time head of Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg’s anti-borders lobbying group, said last year that foreign workers were simply better than Americans…

H-1b Visa Wrongdoing Is Ripping Off the American Middle Class

On Sunday, Fox News weekend host Tucker Carlson focused on the lingering scandal of Southern California Edison firing Americans workers to replace them with cheaper foreign workers. A few days ago a group of 10 bipartisan senators called for a federal investigation of H-1b visa abuse in the case, following a March hearing which explored the issue of immigration malfeasance.

Professor Ron Hira was an expert who testified at that hearing [WATCH] and was a guest on Fox’s morning show with Carlson.

CARLSON: The law requires that “the hiring of a foreign worker will not adversely affect the wages and conditions of U.S. workers comparably employed.” That’s the law least followed, yet reports have surfaced that a popular visa program one that everyone in Washington supports, including all the Republicans running for President, is doing the opposite. It’s being used to fire U.S. workers and replace them with immigrants who are cheaper…

Greenfield: Facebook’s Favorite Part of Amnesty is Already in Trouble

Facebook headquarters, Menlo Park, California.

Obamnesty, like ObamaCare, is really a messy complicated hodgepodge of dirty deals needed to keep a coalition between lefty corporations and radical activists happy. And like ObamaCare, Obamnesty is very vulnerable to being taken apart through its holes and weak points.

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg’s favorite part of amnesty that doesn’t involve more H1-B visas (Obama thus far hasn’t arrogated himself the power to legislate an expansion of visas, but probably will before too long) was OPT. But OPT is already in trouble…

Obama says Republicans are committing political suicide on immigration

(Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday that Republicans are committing political suicide by resisting comprehensive immigration reform and vowed to go ahead with his plans to loosen some migration rules on his own after Nov. 4 elections.

Obama’s comment came as he began a two-day West Coast trip centered mostly around raising money for Democratic congressional candidates in Los Angeles.

His first such event is scheduled to be at the Los Angeles home of actress Gwyneth Paltrow on Thursday night.

Speaking to tech startup executives at a town hall event at Cross Campus, an organization devoted to helping entrepreneurs create jobs for young Americans, Obama repeatedly attacked his political opponents as he tries to fend off a Republican takeover of the U.S. Senate in the upcoming elections.

On immigration, Obama said he would proceed with plans after the elections to do what he can within his constitutional power to help undocumented workers in the United States.

He said he would specifically make the H1B visa system more efficient “to encourage more folks to sthere”…

US: Foreign workers: Trust us

As many will recall, a claque of American CEOs penned a letter to Obama and Congress in March 2013. In this they pleaded for a vast and perpetual flow of foreign labor to fill the tens of thousands of vacancies that our population of only a mere 300 million could never hope to provide. Yet couldn’t they simply hire these critical employees to work in their sprawling archipelago of international facilities rather than bringing them all here? Can’t software be engineered in Bangalore just as well?

I’m sorry, they couldn’t hear the question.

The point was, thousands more workers were desperately needed. And thousands more after that…ad infinitum.

So many tech titans put reputation to paper and begged the government they had spent good money on for some ROI [Return on Investment].

Though strange things can happen in a short 18 months. And after hearing today of Hewlett-Packard’s huge layoffs, the first thought was a silent wager that they had been in the beggar’s bunch for more workers–of course they had…
