Trudeau ̷d̷e̷f̷e̷n̷d̷s̷ lies about actions as Philpott asks if Wilson-Raybould was sidelined over SNC-Lavalin

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insists he did not shuffle Jody Wilson-Raybould over the SNC-Lavalin matter, contradicting former top minister Jane Philpott’s claim that there was “a reason” for moving the former justice minister and attorney general to Veterans Affairs.

In an explosive interview with Maclean’s — her first media interview since she resigned from the Liberal cabinet on Mar. 4 — Philpott said there is “much more” to the SNC-Lavalin affair and Canadians have concerns about the government’s attempts to “shut down” the story.
