Tunisia beach terror attack suspect assaults judge with gavel in terror trial

An Islamic State (ISIS) militant on trial for involvement in a terror attack which killed 30 British tourists assaulted a judge after seizing his gavel.

Adel Ghandri managed to grab the judge’s ceremonial mallet before hitting him over the head with it, according to Tunisia’s military justice system. A statement from the court did not say whether the judge was injured in the melee. The 33-year-old appeared in court on Tuesday alongside several other suspects accused of carrying out a raid on a military outpost near the border with Libya.
