FUREY: The SNC-Lavalin affair a small, but real example of ‘democratic backsliding’

Ten seconds. That’s probably about how long Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s potentially offending remarks in his conversation with Jody Wilson-Raybould lasted. Those remarks where he may have pressured her to get the charges dropped against SNC-Lavalin.

Not a lot of time, when you think about it. Words that, if the PM actually said them (something he denies), he probably wishes he could take back.

Is there no way to compel an honest investigation? If not then then this is real Banana Republic stuff.
