Federal government says it must fight ‘grave risks’ of climate change at Sask. carbon tax challenge

Canada must have the latitude to address the national and international concerns posed by climate change, according to a lawyer for the federal government.

“Despite Saskatchewan’s view to the contrary, the rapidly increasing accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere, the grave risks posed by climate change… to do our part to achieve significant reductions that are necessary, as early as possible, are relevant and fundamental to this case,” Sharlene Telles-Langdon told court Thursday.

“Failing to address these cumulative dimensions are potentially catastrophic.”

European girls in Vienna are wearing headscarves to avoid assaults by male muslim migrants

Marcus Franz, a physician and former MP from the conservative Austrian People’s Party created outrage on social media after he said the non-Muslim European girls in Vienna have started to wear Islamic headscarves so as to prevent street harassment and assault by male Muslim migrants.

During an appearance last week on OE24, a local Austrian television station, Franz stated, “Speak with women on the street, speak with children, speak with young girls. I myself know fathers who, when their daughters come home in the evening when they live in the problem area, give them headscarves so they won’t be recognized as Austrians. I know this personally, in the 15th district of Vienna, this is a fact.”

Former transgender says media, doctors misled him to believe that sex change was the answer to his gender dysphoria

A former transgender woman says that cross-sex hormones and sex-change surgery doesn’t solve the underlying psychological problems associated with gender dysphoria.

Walt Heyer was 42 when he began taking female hormones and underwent sex-change surgery, including genital reconfiguration and breast implants. His doctors told him it was the only solution to his gender distress.

But they were wrong, Heyer explained in an op-ed published Monday in USA Today. The now 77-year-old detailed his transition from a man to a woman, then back to a man eight years later.

Rats, Public Defecation And Open Drug Use: Our Major Western Cities Are Becoming Uninhabitable Hellholes

Almost everyone that goes out to visit one of our major cities on the west coast has a similar reaction. Those that must live among the escalating decay are often numb to it, but most of those that are just in town for a visit are absolutely shocked by all of the trash, human defecation, crime and public drug use that they encounter. Once upon a time, our beautiful western cities were the envy of the rest of the world, but now they serve as shining examples of America’s accelerating decline. The worst parts of our major western cities literally look like post-apocalyptic wastelands, and the hordes of zombified homeless people that live in those areas are too drugged-out to care. The ironic thing is that these cities are not poor. In fact, San Francisco and Seattle are among the wealthiest cities in the entire nation. So if things are falling apart this dramatically now, how bad will things get when economic conditions really start to deteriorate?
