Scheer calls for emergency meeting to discuss SNC-Lavalin allegations

The leader of the Opposition is calling for an emergency meeting of the parliamentary justice committee to question high-ranking officials linked to a recent report that the Prime Minister’s Office tried to pressure former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould to help SNC-Lavalin avoid a criminal prosecution.

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer also suggested Friday morning that his party is looking at “legal avenues” if the governing Liberals “continue to cover this up.”
