Spain, Germany and France give Venezuela’s Maduro eight days to call fresh elections

Three major European countries – Germany, France and Spain – have come out on Saturday saying they are ready to recognise Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s interim president if elections are not called within eight days.

“The government of Spain gives Nicolas Maduro eight days to call free, transparent and democratic elections,” said Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in statement.

“If that doesn’t happen, Spain will recognise Juan Guaido as interim president in charge of calling these elections.”

I think Maduro is not gonna lose any sleep over this.
