Bernier bashes equalization in campaign-style Regina stop

Maxime Bernier finished his trip to Saskatchewan Tuesday by continuing to bash the federal equalization formula and suggesting he would, if given the opportunity, use constitutional powers to ensure pipelines get built.

First Bernier will need to have his newly-formed People’s Party of Canada — of which he is the creator and leader — recognized by Elections Canada.

Even if the party is not officially registered to run candidates, his trip to Saskatchewan was essentially a campaign stop in the lead up to October’s federal election.
