Man arrested by Counter Terrorism Police as he flew into UK was north Londoner who fought against ISIS

A terror suspect arrested at Luton Airport last week is a north Londoner who has fought Isis in Syria for two years, the Telegraph can reveal.

Ozkan Ozdil, 32, was detained by Metropolitan Police officers on arrival at the Bedfordshire airport on Thursday evening on suspicion of “preparation of terrorist acts”.

He was taken to a local police station for questioning but was later released on bail until mid-January.
