Pelosi vows to refocus on ‘climate change’ — further proof House Dems aren’t serious about leading
Waste of Time: An announcement by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday that there is “tremendous pressure” to revisit “climate change” when Democrats take over control of the chamber in January proves again that the Democratic Party is not interested in actually leading.
Rather, the party seems to be preparing to use the next two years ahead of the 2020 elections to engage in Left-wing activism and investigating POTUS Donald Trump.
After Winning Election, Democrat Ilhan Omar Now Says She ‘Supports BDS Movement’
Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar came out against the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement during her campaign, but after winning election, she now says she “supports the BDS movement.”
Omar, a Muslim Somali-American elected last week to replace outgoing Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) in the House, fought accusations that she held anti-Israel views during her campaign. As part of that effort, she told a group of Jewish voters in the state that she opposed the economic boycott of Israel, calling it “counteractive” and “not helpful in getting that two-state solution.”
Facebook removed over 1.5 billion fake accounts in the last six months
It’s been less than a day since the New York Times published a brutal report about the state of affairs at Facebook, including a deep look at the company’s failure to properly identify and deal with fake news and Russian interference. The company already issued a lengthy response to the claims, and today Facebook is publishing its biannual transparency report, covering the first half of 2018. Facebook says the report covers “information about government requests for user data we’ve received; reports on where access to Facebook products and services was disrupted; the number of content restrictions based on local law; and reports of counterfeit, copyright, and trademark infringement.”
Trudeau breaks silence on anti-Semitic attack in Toronto
About 24 hours after being called out for not denouncing an alleged anti-Semitic attack, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke his silence.
And on Sunday’s alleged attack on four Jewish teens in Toronto, which included physical assaults and taunts that “Hitler is coming back,” he joined other leaders in condemning it.
“We must be on constant guard against this troubling resurgence of anti-Semitism, here at home or anywhere else,” Trudeau tweeted late Wednesday. “We thank Toronto Police for their work and send our full support to the young students affected.”
