Why don’t people realize that? For example, if thinking so makes a man a woman … only the mind matters, nature doesn’t. How will that affect science?
What about the Alberta education prof who wants to upend science to benefit the oppressed?
The good news is that the public at large isn’t fooled about progressivism at the university. Science writer Alex Berezow tells us that, in terms of public confidence, academia is in meltdown:
A new survey by Gallup shows that only 48% of U.S. adults have a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in academia, down from 57% in 2015. More.
Still, one gets the impression that many people in science think that the social justice warriors are not serious and that after a certain point, they will just go away and stop the war on math, for example. That is the mistake of the people in science. The twentieth century shows that progressives will start wars on science just as they will start them on religion, if the science gets up their nose in some way.
But the people in science insist on thinking that anyway. Readers? Thoughts?
