Curbing climate change will cost the world £1.8TRILLION every year for two decades, UN-backed report claims

The money will be needed for new energy infrastructure – wind, solar and electricity storage – as well as technologies that can capture excess CO2 from the atmosphere.

Other costs will be from the effect of rising sea levels devastating coastlines, heatwaves and droughts devastating crops and the spread of tropical diseases such as malaria as the Earth warms.
