Gender neutral row: Parents won’t tell anyone if ‘theyby’ tot is a boy or girl

Two-year-old Zoomer enjoys all the luxuries other children do – eating ice cream cones and playing with toy trucks, but the child’s parents will not reveal the gender.

Parents Kyl and Brent Myer are part of the Gender Creative Parenting Movement and Zoomer is a “theyby”.

This means, outside of immediate family, when introducing the child, Kyl and Brent “don’t disclose their sex to people who don’t need to know”.

They also use pronouns such as ‘they’, ‘them’ and ‘their’ when referring to their child.
