Parkland Shooting Hero Blasts Sheriff, Superintendent For Failing To Prevent Massacre

A student named Anthony Borges, 15, was gravely wounded after being shot five times while protecting his classmates during the Parkland shooting massacre. He just got out of the hospital and publicly criticized the Broward County Sheriff and the school superintendent stating they failed the victims by not arresting the shooter before the massacre.

Borges, who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, was a definite hero that day. He used his body to shield 20 other students after Nikolas Cruz opened fire at the school killing 17 people. He suffered wounds to his lungs, abdomen and legs. That he survived at all is a miracle.

With carbon pricing up against the ropes, Catherine McKenna needs to learn humility

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister is the latest political leader to come out swinging against federal carbon pricing.

“I have a simple message for Ottawa today – back off or we’ll see you in court,” the Progressive Conservative leader said on Friday after calling reporters to his office.

While Manitoba is introducing its own carbon tax this year, the plan is for it to stay at $25 per tonne. Whereas Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Environment Minister Catherine McKenna wish to force every province to implement a carbon tax that would hit $50 per tonne by 2022.
