Anti-Gun Activists Attack Responsible Gun Owners

Every American should be horrified by the murders in Parkland, Florida. People should be equally angered by the many government failures which allowed an unbalanced young man to murder helpless students.

Yet anti-gun activists again are blaming honest, law-abiding folks for someone else’s crimes. Punishing millions of Americans is not the answer to the actions of an evil few.

Norway set to ban semi-automatic weapons

Norway is set to ban semi-automatic weapons almost seven years after a far right-wing extremist killed 77 people in a bomb and shooting rampage, the deputy leader of parliament’s justice committee said on Thursday.

The July 22 massacre in 2011 “was committed using that type of weapon. We need to get rid of them,” Peter Froelich told broadcaster TV2.

He said a majority of parliamentarians now backed the measure, in line with a proposal by the center-right government, and a vote was scheduled for next week.

Defend our freedoms: Stop the CBSA from seizing one-handed opening pocket knives

The Canadian Border Services Agency now interprets Section 81(1) of Canada’s Criminal Code to mean that any pocket knife that can be opened with one hand is no longer allowed to be imported. While still legal to carry, this could change if other law enforcement agencies change their interpretations of the Criminal Code as well. If this happens, anyone carrying a pocket knife which can be opened with one hand could face 10 years in prison. Sign this petition and email your local MP to fight for our freedoms!

The Media’s Ugliest Attacks On Gun Rights Supporters

In the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the liberal media immediately launched another gun grab attempt by exploiting the horrific tragedy that occurred in Parkland, Florida. Network and cable journalists blamed gun owners and gun-rights organizations for the “slaughter of our children.” They also repeatedly teed up student activists to trash the NRA and its spokespersons in the most despicable terms like “child murderers” and “terrorists.”

Celebrities also got into the act, with the likes of late night host Jimmy Kimmel attacking “allegedly Christian” GOP politicians whose support of gun rights was “mentally ill.”

The following is a collection (so far) of the media’s ugliest attacks on gun rights supporters in the wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.

Canadian outdoor store bows to pressure against guns

The tragic school shooting in Florida in which 17 people were killed continues to have repercussions in the U.S., but now also in Canada. A well-known high-end outdoor equipment store in this country announced this morning it will end its relationship with a large holding company associated with guns.

The Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) chain says it will no longer carry Vista Outdoor products.

Survey: Americans Blame School Shooting on Government, Not Guns

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows that Americans blame government rather than guns for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.

According to Rasmussen, 54% of Americans believe government failure is to “blame for the mass shooting.” Only 33% of Americans blame guns. Eleven percent of Americans say they are unsure what contributed to the occurrence of the mass shooting.

When the sample group was adjusted so as to focus only on Americans “who have children of elementary or secondary school age,” the percentage of Americans who cite government failure as causal jumped to 61 and the percentage who blamed guns dropped to 23.
