From Cabot Phillips at Campus Reform,
Campus Reform headed to John Jay College in NYC to talk to students who disapproved of the speech by asking them to react to a few select quotations. Almost unanimously, the students found each of the quotes to be “warmongering”, “aggressive,” and “immature.”
“[Trump] should, like, you know, mind his own business and, like, just focus on America because he’s the President of the United States, not the whole world.”
What the students didn’t know was that all the quotes given to them were taken from President Obama’s State of the Union addresses.More.
Reality check: Like most post-moderns, these students are cheerfully uncurious about their own biases while hunting down others’ biases. And they are quite happy to be ignorant; they feel more comfortable that way. They will not be good citizens for a free society so it is a good thing if they don’t want one.
