Do Countries Other Than America Produce Artwork Like This?

Just in case you are wondering about the symbolism here you essentially have all “saved” but deceased American heros behind Jesus, the sinners on the right (liberal judges, single mothers, corrupt politicians, Marxist professors, female television reporters, and I think Ben Shapiro), with the righteous on the left that includes doctors, soldiers, responsible mothers, farmers, legal immigrants, and earnest students.

Does Canada, or anywhere else in the Anglosphere, produce non-ironic artwork like this?

I have seen the Hermatage (for three days) and every Museum in London (I think) but I’m not talking a hundred or two hundred years ago where this para-iconography would have been common probably all over Europe, I’m talking now.

          • ntt1

it seems that it has to be profane and edgy rather than displaying any skill.

          • vwVwwVwv

            An arrowhead?

          • ntt1

As you say hammering arrow heads requires skill today’s “art”does not ,just come up with an insulting or demeaning depiction of a functional part of society and reap the rewards of being an iconoclast

Not in the Anglosphere, but the old Soviet Union did. See Jordan Peterson’s collection.

no you would never find that in Canada first off very few Canadian artists can draw above the level of a graphic novel(comics) And if they could it would feature the dark side loser satan rather than the Saviour

    • shasta

Canada has/had many good artists, but you have to look beyond the government handout recipients.

      • ntt1

sure like Robert Bateman who is incredible but the art establishment decries his work as Photographic and bland, they would rather have bad sketches of soiled laundry.

  • disqusW6sf

There is no link and no name artist.

    • Dave

Quick search comes up: jon mcnaughton, one nation under god.

  • Miss Trixie

    It’s Jesus not Jusus.

  • Well, I wouldn’t regard the above as artwork but if one wishes to discuss how Western civilisation has produced things like Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”, Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” or anything by William Kurelek, it’s because because they not only had the ability but they had purpose, whether it was spiritual or cultural.

    Now, we have amoeba.
