How a Cult Infiltrated the California Institute of Integral Studies

In 2011 the California Institute of Integral Studies concluded a several month long investigation into Cultural Anthropology professors Angana Chatterji and Richard Shapiro. Both were fired citing a “cult-like environment,” “exploitation,” and a “siege mentality” among other reasons. In 2007 I was one of four students who walked out of the program reporting serious dysfunction. This is the never been told story of how it unfolded.

If you’re looking for some insight into the madness of the university this is a good place to start.

I can see no good ever coming out of CIIS, from before, during or ever after that purge. CIIS should be shut down, academic degrees rescinded and students/graduates refunded their fees. “It’s the only way to be sure.” – Ripley character, Aliens movie

Yeah, that institution is an academic dumpster fire.
Bankrupt the university, resend the degrees, refund all tuition.
Build condos on the campus to pay for it all.

This is also why all classes should be surreptitiously recorded with sound with student controlled GoPros.
Almost all academic protections are being abused, so let’s get rid of them, and treat these faculty like the fast food workers of academia that they are.

Everyone of the faculty displayed looks cultish and so far left they can smell the millions of dead.

This college and others like it should be demolished, plowed under and turned into farmland…

    I read the whole thing.

This quote near the end, after the bad guys are fired, shows the quicksand sucking in lost lefties like the article’s author.

“We will continue to provide an Anthropology program that is committed to social justice, social advocacy, and postcolonial Anthropology.”
