CBC Under Fire For Promoting White Supremacist Theory

CBC under fire for documentary that says first humans to colonize New World sailed from Europe

CBC’s science show The Nature of Things is set to air a documentary that purports to prove the first humans in the New World came across the ocean from Europe and not, as most scientists think, via a land bridge from Asia.

A geneticist of ancient humans calls it “extremely irresponsible” to promote this theory, not just because it is widely rejected and unsupported by evidence, but also because it is a favourite piece of propaganda among white supremacists, who use it to argue Europeans colonized North America before Native Americans, and therefore have the original claim to the land.

Solutrean hypothesis is `propaganda promoted by white supremacists’.
    “Settled science again”?

Yeah, while the “First Nations” siberian land bridge hypothesis is populated exclusively by the ‘right-thinkers’.

    • It makes liberals unhappy.

      Show it twice.

    • Why would someone say something so demonstrably stupid and unfounded?

Also, in counter to what I just said, I thought that the DNA evidence for a Soutrain People arising in precolumbian times in North America was non existent.
The artifact evidence is pretty compelling.
I guess I’ll watch this when it comes out on the 14th.

    • Does any of it matter at this point? They’ve politicized everything — history, science u name it. It sounds like Canada’s Left-wing CBC have all converted to Mormonism! (I dunno, or something like that — Jesus — a Caucasian apparently preached to the Indians).

        Scientifically it matters little.
        Politically it matters a lot.
‘The First Nations’ Tribes’ need to be stripped of that moniker if for only being allowed to weaponize their victim status.
In that light, it matters far more than the mere science which at this point is just a curiosity.
Science replaced religion which in-turn was replaced by the political.
It’s now the ONLY thing that matters.

A new handbook for Canadian teachers says that all teachers should start the 1st class of the day by reminding students that the land the school is built on was stolen from the 1st nations.

If the theory is true we can say they stole it from us so we were just pushing the invaders out.

        • Lightstream

How true. The last thing natives and politicians want is that to happen. The natives wanted the Kennewick man back and buried asap, I’m sure exactly for that reason. They were afraid he might be proven to be Caucasian. Turns out he wasn’t apparently. If you can believe anything being true these days.

I thought I read recently that there was evidence (DNA) but it looks like the European settlers were wiped out by the later ones from asia.

      • J. C.

I heard about a burial ground discovered in Florida in the early ’80s that was dated to be approximately 8000 years old. It was automatically assumed to be an American Indian site, but DNA testing was done on some of the remains around 15 years ago (after DNA tested was invented) and the results showed that the bodies were in fact Caucasian.

Native groups and the MSM have tried to kept this story quiet, however…

      • Drunk by Noon ✓

I might have missed that part.
One new theory that I heard today, which sounds like a dinosaur killer meteorite event for Europeans, happened over Northren Michigan / Southren Canada was what wiped them out.
That was a surprise to hear. Know anything about that?

        • Exile1981

interesting but never heard that before.

sorry the book i suggested you read earlier today is called ‘The humans who went extinct’ by Clive Finlayson.

it’s very dry but full of interesting facts.

          • Drunk by Noon ✓

            Thanks, I’ll take a look!

  • Cat-astrophe

We all know that EVERYBODY comes out of Africa….any other explanation is just plain silly.

    • Drunk by Noon ✓

      Well… maybe not.
It might be a more out of Africa, then on into Asia, and then into Europe kind of a thing, while those that never left Africa are a good 200,000 out of date.

      • Exile1981

The book I suggested below to DBN says the out of africa theory is based on very bad science.

    • tom_billesley

Everybody wants out of Africa, even now.

  • robins111

There’s more empirical data supporting the Solutreans than there is supporting global warming

    • Drunk by Noon ✓

      Well, okay.
Anthropogenic global warming will eventually be proved to be the Piltdown Man of our time, that doesn’t mean that the Solutrean theory is valid.
      I do see your point.

I guess this will be the first time I tune into CBC other than when my wife turns on Heartland.

    • Lightstream

      Same here.

  • dapto

CBC promoting Terrorist and Socialists is fine though

  • simus1

Everyone knows that as soon as the “original North American tribes beg forgiveness for their long apostasy and return to their islamic roots” they will own everything and discussions of who, when. what, will be blasphemy and quickly dealt with.

  • WalterBannon

next thing you know CBC will be showing a documentary about how Africans are actually a different species of humans with an average IQ of 80

  • David_Martin

The CBC are racists – everyone knows the Muslims were the original (first) inhabitants of the Americas.

  • Solo712

Great! Let’s make the Second Nations pay land claim settlements to us!
