Hundreds of churches, camps and charities protest abortion clause in Canada Summer Jobs grant application

OTTAWA — Churches and religious groups across the country are struggling over what to do with a confusing clause in the Canada Summer Jobs application that seems to require them to endorse access to abortions in order to get funding.

The new “attestation” on the grant application is aimed at anti-abortion groups who have received the federal grants in the past. It requires stating that your organization’s core mandate respects “reproductive rights,” along with other human rights, and the online application can’t be submitted unless the box is checked.

I hope they win. In the meantime, please support your faith community knowing they won’t be getting any grant money from our tax dollars.

The CBC hard the nerve to attack Trump over his plan to cut foreign aid to those that hate the USA.
Trudeau is worse because it’s OUR money and yet he thinks it belongs to the Liberal Party as we saw for Chretien in the AdScam where they stole over $300,000,000.00 to save Canada .

Coming up soon: having to present an aborted foetus with every application, non-returnable, to demonstrate devotion to Turdeau’s values. /sarc

Maybe not so much /sarc, but in reality Liberal wet dreams.

I don’t give a damn about abortion— but—-
What Justin is doing has to be ILLEGAL.
It is like “Vote for ME” and I will give you money.

Not much different with this and let’s say, conservative Canadian veterans denied compensation for vocational/educational claims, that force hundreds perhaps thousands of Canadian veterans to quit retraining programs.

The end game of this particular move by Trudeau is to have a church agree to get the monies for a summer student, then have the CRA accuse them of fraud in order to pull their charter for not having that agreement publicized from the pulpit, or written into their statement of beliefs.

The federal government needs to have its purse strings cut, and its available budget monies gutted. In short, a tax revolt is long overdue as the civil service is no longer civil or servile.
