Donald Trump Furious: Steve Bannon ‘Not Only Lost His Job, He Lost His Mind’

President Donald Trump responded personally to his former chief strategist Steve Bannon’s comments about his family members Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr.

The statement was released to reporters by press secretary Sarah Sanders prior to the White House press briefing.

The president unleashed a torrent of accusations against Bannon, accusing him of losing his mind after leaving the White House, and having very little to do with his presidency.

Bannon is correct. Unfortunately it is an over-reaction by President Trump. Here is the sarcastic quote by Steve Bannon from July, 2017, “The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor – with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers. Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shi&, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Can’t wait to read the book. Apparently it’s No. 1 on Amazon and it hasn’t even been released.

So sick of all this infighting. Where’s my fucking wall?

Bannon – if correctly quoted – was pointing out the fact Don Jr, Kushner and Montaford are morons.

    Hard to argue.

No actual revelations here, this meeting is old news, where Trump aides were suckered into taking a meeting with a Russian business lobbyist under false pretences.

But now Bannon has voiced his opinion in hyperbolic terms and we’re supposed to focus on the word association of “Former campaign strategist” and “treason” and just take it as given that this time they really found the Russian collusion.

It is funny to see how the left has done a 180 on Bannon so fast it gives whiplash. Last week he was Trump’s Goebbels, a racist muckraker spreading right-wing conspiracy theories. Now he’s a well-respected publisher, the heir of Woodward and Bernstein.

Bannon is holding Trump’s feet to the fire.

Americans didn’t vote for Trump’s New York Liberal daughter and son in-law.

They also didn’t vote for Bannon.

The passage of tax reform was the final straw that broke the internal resistance to Donald Trump within the Republican Party. The #NeverTrumpers in the party have left or are leaving and the remainder have (finally) recognized Trump as the true leader of the party, especially in light of his other genuine and significant conservative accomplishments. It’s pretty much a united party now. United around Donald Trump.

A sh*t stirrer and sower of division, such as Bannon – although fantastic in many arenas – has no place in this new picture. He doesn’t seem to have understood that before, but he does now, too late.

It has been fortunate in a way that the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) have been so hysterically and unreasonably against Trump: That has driven Trump, a natural centrist, into the full conservative, right-wing camp, with the great results we have seen.

Allowed to go on, Bannon et al could have achieved the opposite effect, and pushed Trump into the hands of the Democrats, which will always remain a danger.

Think what you want but Bannon was a peon and Trump the king, Bannon beaked off more than once and got shitcanned. Looks like a disgruntled exemployee with an axe to grind.

      Watch the speeches Bannon does.

He’s holding Trump to his promises during the campaign and shining a light on liberals like Ivanka and Kushner.who are pushing Trump in the wrong direction.

If Trump signs a deal to allow all the dreamers to stay it won’t matter if the wall is 1000 feet tall and 100 feet deep underground. The demographics of the country after that will keep Republicans out of office forever.

That is what Bannon and others have been arguing for years. Demographics is everything.

      • Yes, Trump’s inclination to Daca amnesty is bad news. It is also true that Bannon’s spat with Trump will weaken Trump, and push him leftwards. Bannon should have avoided personal attacks on Trump’s entourage – no profit in that for the Trump base. He should focus on stopping amnesty.

Peon? Why is daddy fighting Don Jr.’s fight with Bannon?

      • barryjr

LMAO why did Bannon whine and start shit with Jr when his fight was with Daddy? I’ll tell you why, because he knew Daddy would squash him like a bug. Bannon got delusions of grandeur and got fired happens all the time, if he had any sense he would have shut up and licked his wounds. Shapiro was right about Bannon and the only thing faster than Bannon’s mouth are the people trying to distance themselves from him before they get destroyed too.

Never knew of a politician who couldn’t get past his own ego and admit any unethical or wrong, doing and unfortunately conservatives are no exception especially in Canada
