Just one in five fake child migrants caught lying about their age in the last six years was sent home

Migrant child, no really, he’s just a toddler that shaves.

Just one in five young asylum seekers who lied about their age in a bid to enter the UK is ever forced out of the country, it has been revealed.

Home Office records reveal that 2,644 adults were caught trying to cross the border into Britain from 2010 to 2016 as an ‘unaccompanied asylum seeking’ child.

However, only 580 of these people were kicked out after being caught posing as a vulnerable child in a bid to cheat their way into the UK.

Statistics for 2017, from January to September, showed that two-thirds of the 692 people whose date of birth was challenged by the Home Office were over 18.
