Pope Francis’ call to jettison life’s “useless baggage” in 2018 not a resignation notice after all

Pope wants you to let in more migrants and then some more after that.

Pope Francis on Monday recommended jettisoning life’s “useless baggage” in 2018, including what he called “empty chatter” and banal consumerism, and focusing instead on building a peaceful and welcoming world, particularly for refugees and migrants.

Francis offered his reflections on paring down non-essentials as he celebrated New Year’s Day Mass Monday in St. Peter’s Basilica and later greeted some 40,000 people in St. Peter’s Square.

I’ve come to the conclusion, over the years, that there is a secret 11th Commandment; “Thou shall do as I say, not as I do”. I therefore take Pope Irrelevant the First’s pronouncements with a grain of salt.

Pope Francis, the left, and Muslims are life’s “useless baggage”

Hey Francis, open borders don’t work on a planet with more that 7 billion inhabitants. Two or three billion of those would likely relocate to Europe or North America given the chance.

    • Cat-astrophe

I do believe that is the plan.
Remember media statements of a few years ago where they said we (those of us who have found peace by merely living in western civilization) have no right not to feel the constant poverty and war that the other 6.5 billion of earths inhabitants live like 24/7.
Those who attend Davos, the pushers of the U.N. agenda who jet the world over loving each other like brothers are those who would see the blood of the masses spilled so they and they alone can live a life of opulence.

The pope is supposed to provide care and guidance for catholic Christians. I don’t see that as his top concern.

If he is so fond of these Muslims, why doesn’t he tear down the Vatican’s walls and welcome them into Vatican City and grant them citizenship there? Pope needs to stop telling us that we need to flood our countries with the Muslim garbage .

The leftist MSM’s lack of interest in digging deep into Pope Evil-ta’s past and who he is fronting for in the present, reminds somewhat of their treatment of their “chosen one”, Emperor Barry.

Is there a recall or can this guy get forced to resign.

And there are how many immigrants staying in the Vatican…? Yes, I thought as much.

You can only stay there if you are gay.

He really should be called “Pope asterisk.”

      Ebonics, please.

Francis the Talking Pope seems to have a roving commission to instruct us on all phases and aspects of life. And not from a Biblical perspective — from a lefty social-justice perspective.

Francis can service all the new economic immigrants he likes. Most people in the world see them for what they are. Parasitic, opportunistic users of systems originally developed for widows, abandoned women and children who shared the same moral underpinnings of the society they grew up in.

  • Hard Little Machine

    By useless baggage he means

The sick, the crippled, the handicapped, the Jews, the white people.

    • This is unfair.

Pope Francis may be many things but he’s not a callous @$$hole to the people you’ve mentioned.

There are plenty of discussions to be had about consumerism and its effects on society. Previous popes have made comments about materialism and consumerism, as well.

What Pope Francis is wrong about is mass unvetted immigration. He is not getting that the people he has chosen sympathy for are the very people who would never embody Christian or Western values at all.

      • Hard Little Machine

It’s an extremely loaded term the left has historically used to mean precisely what I indicated.

        • But that’s not what he means.

          • Hard Little Machine

It’s more or less what he said though.

          • A point that made moot by the fact that many either misinterpret what he says and/or that his English is inelegant.

          • Tooth&Claw

I’m not sure it isn’t what he means. I don’t think he gives a damn about the societies that are Christian . He certainly isn’t protesting much about the persecution of Christians.

          • I think he does but they never register for him. It’s more like he is trying to be politically correct than represent who he stands for.

      • Dana Garcia

I don’t think Francis loves his Christian flock — he is too critical for that. He reminds me of Obama who didn’t much care for his people, the Americans.

Remember Francis’ first trip abroad as pope was to welcome illegal aliens to Europe:

        • Pope Francis is not a conniving @$$hole. Naive, perhaps, but not a power-grubbing d!ck who backs Iran still and remained in a racist church.

          • Dana Garcia

I compared Francis to Obama in only only one way — compassion toward their own people.

          • Obama has never exhibited anything resembling compassion.

This is why black people voted for Trump.
