The Death Rattle of Obama’s Reputation

The members of Barack Obama’s administration in exile have become conspicuously noisy of late—even more so than usual. Former CIA Director John Brennan accused Donald Trump and his administration of engaging in “outrageous,” “narcissistic” behavior typical of “vengeful autocrats” by threatening proportionate retaliation against countries that voted to condemn the United States in the United Nations, as though that were unprecedented. It is not. James Clapper, Obama’s director of national intelligence, all but alleged that the president is a Russian “asset.” Perhaps the most acerbic and incendiary series of accusations from the former Democratic president’s foreign-policy professionals were placed in the New York Times by Obama’s national security advisor, Susan Rice. In her estimation, America has abdicated its role as a “force for good.”

It’s no coincidence that these overheated condemnations accompany abundant evidence that the Trump administration is finding its legs.

Trump should take it as a honor to be criticized by that pack of crooks.

  • I am willing to admit there are two world views.

The progressives believe Western social/economic success comes at a cost to the rest of the world’s failed states. This is fantasy.

The world is a collection of a few democratic states doing well and a large number of poorly organized/run states stuck in a pre-enlightenment mindset. These “pre-enlightenment” states are led by thug/autocrats programmed for failure.

Obama and the progressive fantasy believe that the world’s failed states are the fault of the successful states. Progressives are obsessed with apology to and excuses for the failed states.

Obama’s “outreach” to Islam by NASA is the epitome of his asinine world view.

There is clear path to first world status. (Progressives – forget your US bashing.) Simply follow the example of South Korea (vs North Korea), Taiwan, or Singapore. These countries have managed to make it to first world status.

Progressives will never admit this. Obama and the progressive left have done nothing but hold back human advancement.

The world is a collection of a few democratic states doing well and a
large number of poorly organized/run states stuck in a pre-enlightenment
mindset. These “pre-enlightenment” states are led by thug/autocrats
      programmed for failure.

      This is absolutely fantastical.

Unalloyed authoritarianism is characteristic of China, a few of other states in the Far East; about 10 or 12 states in the Near East, North Africa, and Central Asia; a half-dozen or so African states, one country in Europe, and one in the Western Hemisphere. About 4 states in Africa and 5 in the Near East, North Africa, and Central Asia might be described as ‘failed states’.

As for who is ‘doing well’, China is now the world’s largest economy and has real income levels characteristic of the United States in the immediate post-war period. India is much less affluent, but it still has literacy levels and real income levels characteristic of the United States in the late 19th century and life expectancy similar to that of the U.S. in 1935. Real income levels in Latin America are quite variable from one country to another. If you bracket out natural resource rents and the hypertrophied shared accruing to the most affluent decile, real income levels characteristic of the early 1940s are about normal for Latin America. Neither are the Arab states not exporting oil that badly off: early 20th c. real income levels are generally the order of the day (with some outliers significantly better off and others worse off). Tropical Africa is terribly poor, as are a dozen countries scattered across the rest of the globe.

As for ‘pre-enlightenment’ attitudes, the electoral and deliberative institutions we have and the body of common law we have came into being prior to ‘the Enlightenment’. Screw Voltaire. Give me Thomas Aquinas.

      • “China is now the world’s largest economy”?

        Say’s who?

ex – Emperor Barry’s “legend (as they refer to fake personal histories in the spy trade)” was a shameful cobbled together ugly thing that any competent reporter should have been able to bust open given a few months of diligent digging in the US and overseas.
That no one wished (or dared ?) to take it on spoke volumes about the darkness overtaking the land of the free. As for the RINOs throwing that election, plus the following one, that too seemed to be terra incognita to all concerned ?

Obuttfuck and all his treasonous toadies should be lined up against a wall and shot.

Please, no death threats. Doing so is likely to get the Secret Service interested in your potentially illegal act, as well as providing ammunition for others to get this blog censored. Thank you.

      • barryjr

I apologize and dealt with hopefully.

        • Watchman

Much obliged, thank you. Have a very Merry Christmas Day!

Most of that administration, including Obama, Rice, Lynch, Holder, had lived their entire lives, fluffed up beyond their competence by guilty white elites, anxious to show they were “down for the struggle.”

It so completely went to their heads, because there was no honest feedback from media, academic or elected officials within their orbit.

  • Hard Little Machine

Clapper, Brennan, Jarrett, Power, Rice, Kerry, Rhodes, Obama. At least one of them should be hanged.

Boo Fucking Hoo for the self destructive Democrat Party.

    They hate me.I hate them.
