Tiananmen Square protest death toll ‘was 10,000’

The Chinese army crackdown on the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests killed at least 10,000 people, according to newly-released UK documents.

The figure was given in a secret diplomatic cable from then British ambassador to China, Alan Donald.

The original source was a friend of a member of China’s State Council, the envoy says.

Previous estimates of the deaths in the pro-democracy protests ranged from several hundred to more than 1,000.

I’m certain Justin will dispute that!

Justin admires China’s approach to stamping out opposition to government policies and would like to apply these techniques to dealing with “climate change deniers”, “islamophobes”, and “right wing extremists bloggers”…

I am sure there are more than 10,000 people labeled as undesirables on the Liberal Party’s LibList database.

One of Obama’s political mentors wanted to butcher more than 60,000,000 Americans so the rest would fall into line.

10,000 is about the same number that was first reported before the sober minds deemed it too high and it was dialed down to make the Chinese feel better.
It could have been a million and the average idiotic sociopaths that run most companies would still have fallen all over themselves to ship American Jobs there in the interest of short-term profitability and a fatter quarterly bonus.

Chinese governments have a long tradition of being brutal. One only needs to look back through Chinese history to see that the modern Chicoms are merely carrying on a long-standing tradition.

Chairman Mao was a 20th century version of China’s First Emperor, and both him and Mao were paranoid and brutal tyrants who were obsessed with immortality…

Where the hell was I because the media in canada kept showing the one guy with a tote bag standing in front of a tank .
Where did the 10,000 number come from?

      Reality.

The Viet Nam (UN police action) “war” cost us over 58,000 Americans – over what? International oil cartel explorations in the Tonkin Gulf (the ruse that started it all), Titanium mines in the DMZ (now you know why it was the DMZ), and Daddy Bush’s CIA black-budget funding that came from the heroin trade in the Golden Triangle, the product being shipped back home in the bodies of those 58,000 boys.

Seems that most governments of the last few hundred years have killed more of their own people than those of “enemy” nation’s in wars. No wonder “anarchists” prefer governing themselves to being governed by the psychopaths we call politicians.
