Switzerland: 94.9 per cent of asylum seekers in the city of Basel are on benefits

A report from Switzerland’s SRF news, says that a very large number of refugees and asylum seekers in the country received benefits in 2016.

    I’m always surprised to read stories like this from Switzerland. It used to be very hard for any foreigner to live in Switzerland. Even for fellow European’s it was a very long process to obtain citizenship (had to be approved by the local Canton). I don’t understand what changed – why are the Swiss allowing their beautiful country to be overrun by third word garbage.

      Right. It’s amazing how many of these stories contain an element of “surprise” that the numbers are so high.

        Yes, funny that. “Jizyah” is described in the quran. Has been for a thousand years. Yet, this seems to surprise people.
