Christmas is cancelled: Nazareth’s Muslim mayor bans traditional Christmas celebrations in Christ’s childhood home

The Muslim mayor of Nazareth has cancelled traditional outdoor songs and plays celebrating Christmas in the city where Jesus spent his childhood.

Mayor Ali Salam, who once made the curious boast that U.S. President Donald Trump “learned everything from me” about how to win elections, indicated that he was punishing local and visiting Christians as revenge for the President’s decision to officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

“Our message is we love Jerusalem, we’ll never abandon you under any circumstances,” Salam declared.

“Our identity and faith aren’t up for debate … The decision [by Donald Trump about Jerusalem] has taken away the joy of the holiday, and we will thus cancel the festivities this year.”

While Nazareth is located within Israel proper rather than Palestinian Authority territory in Gaza and the West Bank, a majority of its inhabitants are Arabs with Israeli citizenship.

At a little over 30 per cent of the population, Christians are a significant minority — but are dominated by the Muslim majority which voted Salam into power.

Well maybe this will help the Christians to realize how petty and tyrannical the Muslims are… nah, they can just join in the Anti-Semitism.

    Bethlehem declining Christian population:
    1867: 3000-4000 inhabitants, 92-98% Christian, 2-8% muslim
    1867: ≈9000 inhabitants, 85% Christian, 13% muslim
    1948-1967: Under muslim Jordanian control
    1967: 14,439 inhabitants, 46.1% Christian, 53.9% muslim
1997: 21,670 inhabitants, including 6,570 refugees, probably all of which were muslim, 40% Christian
    2012: ≈25,000 inhabitants, 28% Christians

The Bethlehem area is under the control of the muslim extremist Palestinian Authority, which explains much of the reason for the declining Christian population.

Palestine has been a Muslim nation for 5,000 years and Christians must accept that Christ a Palestinian was only a man and the prophet who foretold of Muhammed’s future coming.

The name “Palestine” is Roman Latin name based on the ancient people “Philistines” (from the Bible) which in Hebrew means “invaders”.
Philistines came to Israel from the Mediterranean islands near Greece about 4,000 years. this nation extinct before more than 2000 years and has no historical relationship to the Arabs. Romans conquered Israel and called it as part of the act of occupation “Frobinika Palestine”
Arabs originated in the Arabian Peninsula, no connection to the Philistines – not genetic, not religious, not cultural, not historical and not geographical. Arabs not Philistines. the Romans could equally call the holy land “Frobinika Switzerland”.

Before 1917, over 400 years of Turkish rule in the holy land, do not call it “Palestine”. The British decided to renew the ancient name “Palestine”. All residents of the country were called Palestinians, Arabs, Jews and Christians. This is not attributable only to the Arabs in Israel. It is important to emphasize that the term “Palestinian” to describe the local Arabs invented by Arabs only after the establishment of Israel. This group of Arabs started calling themselves “Palestinian people” After 1948, there is no genuine name in the Arabic language.
