Academics to Establish ‘Critical Menstrual Studies’

Will publish first-ever scholarly handbook devoted to the consideration of menstruation

Academics intend to establish the field of “critical menstrual studies” with the upcoming publication of the first-ever scholarly handbook devoted to the consideration of menstruation.

The Palgrave Handbook of Critical Menstrual Studies, slated for publication in 2020, will be “animated by the central question: what new lines of inquiry, including research questions and social justice engagements, are possible when we center our attention on menstrual health and politics across the lifespan?” according to the book proposal.

    Whats to know?
    Hormonal fluctuations suck.
Bleeding through clothing and bedding sucks.
Everyone in the family is cautious once a month.
Bring chocolate, heating pads and pain relief.
Get through it the best you can, repeat monthly for roughly 40 years unless pregnancy intervenes.
It’s not rocket science, and most everyone knows this already male or female.

    • Wow! Where do I sign up?

Will they have an online degreeded course?

Does it pay as much as math?

I don’t worry about people who are mentally ill.

It will be used to force employers to give “menstrual time” each month
to female employees or those who are mentally deranged and believe they
are female. Think of it as 5-7 paid days a month mandated by the government.

  • So they finally got around to politicizing menstruation — I’ll never understand how it took so long. But an even greater social injustice is how they’ve completely ignored things like ear wax and nose boogers.

at art school in the very early 70s there was a crazed Dyke who painted using all the bodies “fluids “including menstrual blood, she was into jethro tull, the green man and of course lots of mushrooms. a couple of hundred years earlier the good souls of Bromley would of either pressed her or burned her at the stake,so I guess her timing was good

The only reason it would take years to publish is that women are naturally bitchy in groups and can’t get much done.
