Hitler-themed homework upsets middle school students’ parents

Parents at a middle school in Gurnee, Illinois, are upset after their kids received a controversial Hitler-themed assignment.

One mother said she was “flabbergasted” after she found SpongeBob SquarePants with swastikas in her son’s language arts homework…

As far as I’m concerned My Little Pony is worse than Hitler.

    I hate Illinois Nazis

I actually had a special little snowflake complain that I shouldn’t be dealing with the Nazi’s in a 3rd year Modern Political History of Germany course. I think I stared at her for about 5 minutes and just said “Get Out” in my best Horror movie voice.

Did she think that Hitler only existed as a mythological figure made incarnate in current affairs as the current POTUS and opposition to Antifa?

Without knowing who Hitler was, and what circumstances brought him to power and kept him there, the young people of today have no idea how ridiculous their current targets of Hitler-like accusations actually are and also how blind they are to their side’s fascist behaviour.

      • Which is why such topics are never discussed.

Sounds like a good exercise to me. Show the students a bunch of Low cartoons first and then let them have at it. Tell them about Stalin at the same time too.

If it was October 1970 ….Hitler would have loved Canada because Trudeau put Troops on the streets and jailed over 400+ people with NO charges or access to a lawyer.
