Trump’s decision on Jerusalem shatters the Palestinian old guard

For more than 20 years, Saeb Erekat, the Palestinian’s chief peace negotiator, has chased the dream of a two-state solution and the hope of an independent Palestinian state.

He followed it to the White House under four different US presidents, haggled over it in secret and public negotiations with hard faced Israeli negotiators, and defended it against sceptical Palestinians on the streets of Jericho.

But in the minutes after Donald Trump’s announcement that the US was recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, Mr Erekat stood in front of the television cameras and concluded that his dream of two decades was finally dead.

The Muslims never wanted peace, all they want is dead Jews.

  • They tried the two-State solution, remember? Israel recognized self-Government of the Palestinians, ceded land with Israeli infrastructure, businesses etc. intact as a gift, let the aid flow in, etc. And what did the Palestinians do? — they elected Hamas, which was even worse than the PLO, and in fact they murdered the PLO old guard then started shooting rockets at Israel. The Palestinians are liars and thieves, always have been. They had their opportunity for independence and a two-state solution and they chose terror.

Meanwhile life in the rest of the world goes on — we can’t wait forever for these people to come to their senses.

How correct you are! I support Israel. Simple as that.

It is impossible for them to come to their senses while islam still exists. This religion is treated as if it is sacrosanct and immune from criticism, an allowance not permitted these days to Christianity.

The Balfour Declaration was for what was to be a Jewish nation in what is now Israel AND Jordan.

Because of the Arabs being against any nation for the Jews who continued to live there since biblical times, 70% of the area was lopped of for the first Muslim nation created by the United Nations, in 1946 and called Jordan. It was only in 1948 that the UN voted that the other 30% would be for a Jewish nation called Israel.

So the two-state solution was already decided upon, but for the Arabs that was not good enough and the new Arab nation of Jordan, along with Egypt and Syria attacked Israel with Egypt illegally seizing Gaza and Jordan illegally seized Samaria and Judea in 1948 and 1949. Each then broke international law by flooding those areas with their own people to colonize those lands with Jordan destroying all but 1 synagogue and expelling all the Jews.

In the war of 1967 meant to kill or expell all the Jews from Israel, the Jews won and won back Samaria and Judea illegally seized 18 years earlier.

Now the world expects Israel to give up more land to the Arabs in the name of peace, to those who already expelled all the indigenous Jews and have been forcing out the indigenous Christians for 70 years, and put it into the hands of admitted terrorists under the name of the “Palestinian Authority”.

The PA has never abided by the Oslo accords, so it is time to acknowledge the reality that Samaria and Judea (an area named for the Jews in biblical times) are part of Israel, expel the Palestinian Authority and any “Palestinians” who refuse to live in peace in Israel.

It is Arab culture not to abide by agreements they make, to see any concessions by others as weakness on their part, and to always demand even more after making an agreement. It is time to put them in their place and know that we know their game and will not put up with it any more. They only understand strength so it is time to show them overwhelming strength and show them no concessions. The violence they will respond with is no different than the violence they will show anyways as they have in the past and will in the future.

There is no point in creating another failed Arab nation, and putting the Egyptian created (by Abdul Nasser in 1964) PLO terrorist group in charge of it. To do so is to continue to give an operational base for terrorists on the high ground of Israel.

Screw the appeasers in Europe who think if they support terrorists that the terrorists won’t attack them. Europe may be willing to trade their freedoms for Iranian natural gas and Iraqi oil, but in the end will learn they can only trust Israel in that part of the world, or they will themselves fall to the invading hordes they expect Israel to make ever increasing concessions to.

But at least they got many billions of dollars of aid money to help those poor Palestinians living in tents in those refugee camps!

Trump’s Decision On Jerusalem Shatters The Palestinian Old Guard

    Good.

  • Hard Little Machine

The objective now should be to crush Hamas. Leave the PLO to flounder. As one by one their leadership drops dead with no succession and no elections Hamas will try to take over. They have to be stopped from doing that or ISIS and Iran will be 5 miles from Jerusalem.

We already have an independent Palestinian state; it’s called the Gaza Strip.

How’s that workin’ out for ya??

Erekat is pissed because he no longer has a job. Good.
