Pope Francis: I Cannot Hide ‘My Deep Concern’ Over Jerusalem

In a special appeal Wednesday, Pope Francis called for respect for the “status quo” in Jerusalem, in the wake of news that the United States will transfer its embassy in Israel to the Holy City.

“My thoughts now turn to Jerusalem,” the Pope said before the large crowd assembled in the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall for his weekly General Audience. “I cannot remain silent about my deep concern for the situation that has been created in the last days.”

Somehow Dope Francis always managed to hide his deep concern when Jews were run over, stabbed and slaughtered in the streets of Jerusalem.

He is jealous, was this the custom his predecessors in real power loved so much.

    • Bernie

Let’s not forget to mention how past Papal issues did their best to destroy Jews.

If he’s against it, it must be frickin’ awesome.

    Shut up, Frank.

      Pope Fredo.

He’s smawt. Not dumb like everybody says. He just wants respeck!

It’s pretty obvious that Benedict was forced to resign so that the one-worlders could install this sharia-compliant, socialist, un-Christian mouthpiece. I was on the fence over this embassy move, now I’m convinced it’s the right thing to do and the right time to do it. While we still have a chance to win.

That is the colonial attitude that Great Leader Justin warns us about.

  • ontario john

So while the anti-Christ Pope bends his knee to muslims, I’m sure we will get reports of nuns being raped again.

Are there any Catholics left that are willing to identify as such after several years of this clown?

    • chayisun

I’m a……ummm…..a Cath……A Baptist. Ok, maybe not a full time , ummm, Baptist but I sort of follow the, you know, religion known as Catholic. If I WAS a Catholic I’m thinking I’d be really disappointed in following this Pope anywhere. He comes across as an absolute twit……I was going to say idiot but I don’t wanna be hit by lightning. What worries me is he may live to be a 100.

If it’s on your heart to worship as a Catholic then obey the call of God. If it’s of him you can only be blessed and if it’s not it will come to nothing.

I’m not a Catholic. or any other ist ism or ic for that matter. That said I truly admire the aesthetic. The Cathedrals, the paintings, the history…one of my favorite authors is G.K.Chesterton who is catholic and a brilliant writer.

One of the joys, I think anyway, of being a Christian is knowing unity of belief does not mean uniformity of expression.

I’m embarrassed for the guy. I keep saying that year after year and nothing changes. Where is JP II when you need him?

    • This joker isn’t worthy to polish JP II’s toenails. I remember how JP II stood up to communism, and stood for freedom. When he came to celebrate a public mass in communist Nicaragua in the ’80’s, the Sandinista regime organized a mob and they pelted him with eggs, tomatoes, etc. I don’t know where the Pope’s security was but somebody could have just as easily lobbed a grenade — it was in the middle of a bloody civil war.

But the Pope never backed down, he excoriated communism and excoriated Catholic clergy that had embraced Marxist liberation theology and kicked them out of the Church. He gave courage to Catholics that were being persecuted by adherents of that ideology — not only Catholics, but many Protestant denominations suffered tremendously at the hands of the communists. Many Protestants were encouraged by his visit as well. And probably Jews for the same reason — although the Jewish population was very small in Nicaragua, the Sandinistas had closed down the only Synagogue in the country. The communists had the support of Palestinian terrorists, and in fact a couple of Palestinian radicals served in the regime.

JP II faced down all of them, all over the world, and he was never deterred even after two assassination attempts. Compare that to Francis the surrender-monkey.

  • If anything, he has remained neutral.

    I quote:

“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and
bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers,
and the chairs of them that sold doves:

And he saith to them: It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves.”

Our Lord was not neutral. Jerusalem is the capital.

So it is written, so it is done.

    • Jabberwokk

“”Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to
you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen
gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”

      Luke 13:34

Seems Like Jesus Has very strong positive emotions on the subject. Difficulties with some of it’s residence notwithstanding but that’s beside the point. Well that and the foretold new city is called New Jerusalem.

Again….Unh! Popes. Good God. What are they really good for? Absolutely nothing!

      • Popes are very good. Why Pope Francis is being neutral on something that is in the Bible is just blinkered.

        • Jabberwokk

Oh he just has a higher more divinely inspired interpretation!

          Ok I’ll stop now. 😛

        • caliroxanne

I don’t think he’s really being neutral, he’s against it but fears Trump, so he tempers his true feelings. Keep in mind that the Vatican only started to recognize Israel in 1993. As the Bible is pretty clear on Jerusalem, I don’t understand how any Christian can not recognize Jerusalem as the capital. When Jesus returns to Jerusalem, Israel, I think many of those who claim to be Christians will be in for quite a shock!

          • Jabberwokk

I heard a story from my Mom about another distant family member talking with my grandma. She was one of those hardcore religious type of Christians:Went to church, cleanliness is second to godliness, do-all-the-‘right’-things-everything-is-a-sin types. Was for years.

My Grandma sits down with her one day and see’s she is very upset. She Asks what’s wrong and she responds: “didn’t know Jesus was a F$%^$%^ Jew….”.

And what is so fascinating is that everybody seems to have missed the irony of the Pope (!!!) sending a prayer to G-d at the Western Wall.

Francis the Talking Pope: “I Cannot Hide the fact that my real religion is left-wing social justice, not Christianity.”

Pope Che needs to stick to converting to Islam and turning all the Catholics gay.

  • L Garou

The Pope fought the Trump, and the Trump won.

Time to make the Vatican Islamic because it’s obvious that the Catholic hierarchy no longer sees itself as Christian.
