Mueller’s team has not subpoenaed Deutsche Bank on Trump’s finances, legal team says

President Trump’s legal team is pushing back against reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has called on Deutsche Bank to submit data pertaining to its client relationship with President Trump as part of his investigation into alleged Russian election meddling.

“We have confirmed that the news reports that the special counsel had subpoenaed financial records relating to the president are false,” said Jay Sekulow, a member of Trump’s legal team. “No subpoena has been issued or received. We have confirmed this with the bank and other sources.”

Bloomberg, citing an unnamed source, reported that Mueller is seeking information on the German lender and its relationship with Trump and his family. Trump reportedly owes the bank $300 million.

Bloomberg’s “single source” for this allegation mirrors one of the reasons given why ABC screwed up so badly last week on the Flynn story. A claim on Reddit says CNN has stripped it’s site of all references to this story. The story does seem to have been swept off the front pages awfully quickly throughout the MSM.

Tharen’t dumping the story yet because they’re hoping mueller the moron will eventually subpoena the bank. Then they can say, if they say anything, that their report was not wrong, just premature. Or maybe this is what they want mueller to do. hint, hint. azzholes.

    • Exactly. They are hoping that Mueller will take his cues from Media stories, rather than evidence from the investigation. Wouldn’t be the first time…

If it wasn’t for fake news there’d be no news on these crap media outlets.
