Does the law prevent Canada from killing its ‘terrorist travellers’?

The rules of engagement governing the Canadian military do not prevent it from targeting and killing ISIS fighters holding Canadian passports, according to military experts and the Department of National Defence.

But one constitutional expert believes the Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects Canadian enemy combatants from being specifically targeted by the military, with some exceptions.

  • Liberal Progressive

    Sharia Law certainly does.

  • David Murrell

The pro-terrorist CBC web page article quotes a constitutional law “expert” as defending the constitutional rights of ISIS war criminals. She says targeting them would contravene “fundamental justice”. Like other SJW leftists, she has absolutely no idea about what ISIS has done in Syria and Iraq, nor would she care. Now wonder the morally bankrupt CBC quotes her at length.

Can we kill them when they pop up here?

        You betcha.

  • tom_billesley

If they aren’t killed on the battlefield, then leaving them to rot in a Kurdish prison won’t violate anyone’s constitution or charter.
    Just like “Jihadi Jack” Letts.

    A “terrorist traveller” is a terrorist, not a terrorist-lite.

There is a fundamental problem with applying “the law” to returning jihadi fighters. They are outlaws. They do not recognize Canadian law as applying to them as Muslims. They simply use the law to defeat the law. Only stupid or corrupt people don’t want to see that.

During a discussion with a liberal, which we were discussing the upcoming upheavals/civil war in the US,

I ask him, if I as a Canadian went down fought and shot a bunch of lefties as a member of the Right wing militia, would Justin and his bunch welcome me back and set me up with free housing etc… It was interesting to see the look on his face..

Why is it the only time you ever here about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms is to defend criminals and traitors?

  • It’s the stupid Charter.

    Of course!

If I was an ISIS fighter I’d come home to Canada for 10 million bucks, wouldn’t you?
